The interactive whiteboard in English language lessons: getting started
Smartboard image with star-shaped mask
An interactive whiteboard is a valuable tool for whole class teaching. It allows the creation of visually stimulating, lively, engaging lessons which encourage pupil participation and collaboration. This introduction to the whiteboard explores ways to enhance whole class teaching and learning in English language lessons. Teachers are offered the opportunity to explore the functions and features of the interactive board, and are supported as they make their own customised activities, in addition to using ready-prepared materials which they can take away on CD-ROM. Recently run in Inverclyde and City of Edinburgh.
